In a confirmation that was not a surprise to the AWS community, Amazon AWS has confirmed that Wordle AWS product names originate from Wordle. In an interview with James Yvon, the statement was expanded on with a stunning announcement, “not many people know that Wordle actually originated as an Amazon product naming tool and then it spun out as a platform on its own”… “we always look at how we can add value with each incremental platform”.

Not to be outdone, Microsoft has similarly stated that its internal engineering naming platform will be released in a platform called BlueWordle, focused on obscure star charts, scientific table, and Lord of the Rings characters. Brian Ting states, “we always have the coolest names and we’re going to release our beta version as the BlueWordle this week”. Also stating, “we have a commitment to not compete with our customers on naming, instead collaborating with them”.
