Microsoft accidentally exposed its field training program on Saturday, revealing that all new sales reps and SSPs go through a full day of training on “what’s the Ask?” In an attempt to save face, Microsoft training sales leader Eugene Franko stated, “we are very interested in making sure our reps are able to take verbs and turn them into nouns”… “it’s all necessary so we can better serve our customers”.
Microsoft customer Bob’s Bait Enterprises was interviewed, saying “wow… this really explains a lot. I’ve always wondered why every Microsoft rep uses this language. Always felt like they were either not sure how the language works, or intentionally converted it.”
Microsoft partner Chip Consulting indicated that there is also a partner training program on “dealing with Premier Support escalation”, tied to managing the movement through various levels of support… all of which need to completely restart the troubleshooting process”.
